The Accommodations and Modifications course from Northwest Service Cooperative meets one of the categories for teacher relicensure in Minnesota. This course covers accommodations, modifications and strategies for removing barriers to learning for students. There is also a special focus on meeting the needs of students with ADHD, ADHD symptoms, or Executive Functioning issues. Your Instructor
Jake Seuntjens is the Education Services Director at the Northwest Service Cooperative in Thief River Falls, MN. His past experiences include serving as a reading specialist, reading and behavior interventionist, reading and technology teacher, and classroom teacher. He has worked with many diverse groups of students in his career. Including low-income urban and rural populations. He has also worked with English Language Learners and ELL newcomers in reading as well as behavior.
Mr. Seuntjens has specialized training in diagnostic assessments, K-12 content area strategies, interventions and RtI implementation. He has experience providing interventions to students and has coordinated whole school reading screening and data analysis. He has first-hand experience working as an interventionist within the RtI framework. Mr. Seuntjens is dedicated to integrating technology into literacy and content-area teaching, producing high quality, high interest teaching for 21st century learners.
